Full Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

Do you have experience and success in social creation for fitness, especially with gym or class-focused wellness organizations? Join us and create THE BEST WORK OF YOUR CAREER.

Please note this role is 100% in-office in the Costa Mesa / Newport Beach area, or at fitness Club locations throughout the LA MSA. This role is not remote. Preference given to local candidates; no relocation provided.

We’re building a small, world-class internal team from the ground up, and need a nimble, top shelf, overachieving social media guru and content creator who exists in rarified air: your creativity, results, flexibility, and relentless drive consistently set you above your peers. Your portfolio makes people say, “WOW!” for all the right reasons, and you know how to create and deploy social to drive the goals – not just shovel volumes of “cool” content onto the platforms.

You'll report to the Sr. Director of Marketing and work closely with the Senior Designer to produce a consistent, high-volume stream of polished video, animated, still, and written content for social channels for two consumer brands.

As the Content guru, you will be the voice of the brand across multiple channels and will own our social media content calendar, possess excellent content creation skills, and be capable of leading a project from ideation through completion. You will utilize a combination of community engagement, short-form writing, and viral marketing strategies to drive the overall content strategy across social.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable shooting in a live retail environment, producing short- and medium-form videos, and capturing spontaneous, real-time moments at live events.

You will own video content production across multiple high-visibility platforms. This is a hands-on communications and camera-and-edit role for someone who thinks natively in short-form video, moves fast on location and in post, and knows how to make content extend across platforms that stops the scroll. You need significant experience with FB, IG, X, TikTok, and YouTube, with a sprinkling of LinkedIn, both as a creator of static and video content, and as the hub of communications with the audiences.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Social Media Management

· Manage and grow our presence across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms

· Create, schedule, and publish content across channels, with heavy emphasis on video content

· Maintain a consistent content calendar and posting cadence

· Monitor channels, engage with audiences, and identify opportunities to improve reach and performance

Content Creation & Storytelling

Create engaging, mission-driven content including:

· Social media posts and graphics

· Carousels and short-form video

· Community and participant spotlights

· Promotional and seasonal retail offer content

You'll transform Member and Team Member stories, learning content, community conversations, and program outcomes into compelling digital content that reflects our impact

Campaign Execution

· Execute marketing campaigns supporting participant engagement, community activation, events, new location openings, and program launches

· Coordinate timelines, assets, and publishing schedules

· Ensure consistent messaging across all channels

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Marketing, Leadership, and Club Teams to:

· Surface authentic Member and Team Member stories

· Support community engagement initiatives

· Coordinate marketing assets and deliverables

· Keep projects moving on time and on brand

Marketing Operations & Reporting

· Maintain content calendars and workflows

· Organize marketing assets and templates

· Track and report on engagement and campaign performance

· Share insights and recommendations for continuous improvement

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required Qualifications

· 4+ years of experience in social media and content marketing

· High-level photography and videography competency, especially indoors

· Strong content creation, copywriting, and storytelling skills

· Experience managing multiple social media platforms

· Significant experience creating short- and medium-form video and social-first content

· Experience inside the Hubspot platform

· Proficiency with Canva, CapCut, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools

· Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills

· Ability to work independently and execute quickly in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in social creation for fitness, especially with gym or class-focused wellness organizations, is STRONGLY preferred

· Experience working in startups or high-growth environments

· Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
