Duties
- Assist in preparing a wide range of baked goods, including cakes, croissants, danishes, and tarts following established recipes and standards
- Decorate pastries with precision using piping, and other decorating techniques to create visually appealing products
- Package baked items efficiently for markets and wholesale orders, ensuring freshness and presentation quality
- Support food production processes by measuring ingredients, mixing fillings, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling protocols and maintaining hygiene standards throughout all tasks
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, knives, and other tools safely and effectively during food preparation
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues to meet production goals and uphold high-quality standards
Skills
- Proven experience in pastry making, croissant decorating, or bakery environments with a strong understanding of baking techniques
- Skilled in food preparation, food handling safety, and maintaining cleanliness in a professional kitchen setting
- Excellent knife skills for precise cutting and shaping of ingredients
- Ability to operate baking equipment such as mixers, ovens, and refrigeration units confidently
- Experience with packaging baked goods for retail, wholesale or catering purposes
- Knowledge of food safety regulations within the food industry or restaurant experience preferred
- Strong customer service mindset to support team efforts in delivering quality products consistently
