Full Job Description

THIS POSITION REPORTS TO: CEO

OBJECTIVE: Memory and Movement Senior Living is an Employer that endeavors to provide an environment at its facilities wherein human dignity prevails. We operate in a family type environment, wherein compassion, respect, dedication and willingness to go beyond one's job description are an inherent quality of the Company.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsibilities include overall management of the community in accordance with the policies and procedures of Memory and Movement Senior Living and in compliance with all Local, State, and Federal rules, regulations and laws applicable to the operation and/or licensure of the community.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Marketing/Occupancy Development
Property Maintenance and Safety

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pre-Leasing Activities:

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a pre-leasing strategy to ensure high occupancy rates at opening, aligning with the company's goals and community vision.

Lead Generation: Proactively identify and engage with potential residents and their families through targeted outreach, events, and partnerships with local businesses, healthcare providers, and referral networks.

Marketing and Outreach: Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute promotional campaigns that highlight the community's offerings, including digital and in-person strategies to create awareness and attract prospective residents.

Tour Management: Host community tours and virtual visits to prospective residents and families, highlighting the benefits and unique features of the property.

Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with referral partners, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, senior living advisors, and local organizations.

Pipeline Development: Maintain an active pipeline of prospective residents by following up on inquiries, tracking leads, and converting them into move-ins.

Pre-Opening Events: Organize and host pre-opening events, such as open houses and information sessions, to engage prospective residents and their families and create excitement around the property's opening.

Compliance and Coordination: Ensure pre-leasing activities comply with all local, state, and federal regulations. Coordinate with construction and operations teams to align pre-leasing efforts with project timelines and facility readiness.

Data and Reporting: Track and report on pre-leasing performance metrics, providing regular updates to the Chief Restructuring Officer and other stakeholders.

Personnel Management:

Upholding and enforcing, without prejudice, bias or favoritism, policies and procedures which establish standards of performance and other relevant guidelines for staff. Company will provide a copy of current Policies and Procedures.
Recruiting, hiring, providing orientation, supervising, training, disciplining and terminating the staff of the community.
Being responsible for ensuring staff compliance with the Employee Handbook and policies and procedures.
Reviewing job descriptions and quality and production standards set by the company.
Ensuring that time records of all staff are complete and accurate and submitted by each staff member on a timely basis.
Periodically reviewing (90 days and annually) and evaluating performance.
Accurately and completely documenting all matters related to personnel disciplinary action and incidents.
Determining, with company approval, increases in employee wages in direct correlation with job performance evaluations.
Scheduling in-service training as required by the company and State and Federal law.
Conducting monthly staff meetings.
Maintaining accurate and appropriate records for each employee and other administrative activities, while maintaining confidentiality of said files at all times. Exercising professional judgment and adherence to all written standards, personnel administration policies and procedures.
Responsible for processing payroll and the time clock of all employees and departments.
Responsible for all accounts payable.

Administrative/Fiscal:

Maintaining company systems that will effectively monitor the operation of the community, including but not limited to occupancy rate, income/expense reports and supply inventories. Maintaining regulatory compliance by reviewing, evaluating and measuring regulatory compliance requirements against operations and operational charges.

Residents' Rights and Services:

Maintaining accurate and appropriate records for each resident and prospective resident of the community while maintaining confidentiality of said records at all times.
Assisting in the details and coordination of move-in with respective residents.
Periodically reviewing each resident's status and ability to function within the level of care determined by Memory and Movement Senior Living and State law. Exercising sound judgment in determining each resident's need for placement or transfer to an environment appropriate to their mental and physical health.
Addressing all resident concerns or suggestions in a timely manner and keeping recorded, detailed minutes of each meeting.

Qualifications and Certifications:

Must hold an active California RCFE (Residential Care Facility for the Elderly) Administrator's License.
Within the first seven (7) days of employment, the Executive Director must provide a Health Certification signed by a physician verifying no communicable diseases, open lesions, or any other health problem which could interfere with job performance. Grandfathered employees are exempt from this requirement.
The Executive Director understands that Memory and Movement Senior Living operates as a Drug Free Workplace per policies set forth in the Company Handbook.
The Executive Director will dress appropriately according to the requirements set forth by their position.
The Executive Director is responsible for maintaining the facility and all property in clean, safe and working condition.
At least four (4) years of previous experience in the industry and/or Executive Director Certification required.
