Title: Account Manager (AM)
Level: Exempt
Compensation: $70,304+ Depending on experience.
Reports to: Sr. Director of Sales

Position Overview:
The Account Manager will report to the Sr. Director of Sales and will be responsible for driving revenue growth, account expansion, and sales execution across key national accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Account Growth:
· Own and grow assigned national and regional retail accounts to meet or exceed sales and profit targets
· Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, including assortment expansion, new category placement, seasonal events and incremental programs
· Develop and execute seasonal selling strategies, including prebook, in-season, and replenishment opportunities.
· Partner with buyers to present new collections, drive adoption, and secure orders
· Analyze POS and sales data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to maximize sell-through
· Annual sales planning
· Regular market visits to understand what is going on in the retailers, identify opportunities and develop an action plan.
· Own vendor set-up – maintain, monitor and manage to ensure all information remains correct.
· Own account level P&Ls and ensure products that are being presented meet targets to achieve annual profit goals.
· Partner and work with rep groups on presentations, proposals and execution.
Account Management & Strategy:
· Build strong, proactive relationships with buyers and key stakeholders to become a trusted business partner
· Lead account planning, forecasting, and line reviews with a focus on revenue and margin growth
· Collaborate cross-functionally (product development, operations, marketing) to align on account needs and go-to-market strategies
· Drive execution of account-specific programs such as promotions, exclusives, and merchandising initiatives
Sales Operations & Execution:
· Oversee order management, forecasting, and replenishment to ensure on-time and accurate fulfillment
· Monitor inventory flow, shipments, and production timelines to support sales goals
· Ensure compliance with vendor requirements while maintaining efficiency and speed to market
· Manage and mentor sales support staff to ensure high-quality execution of reporting, order entry, and account deliverables
· 1-2 direct administrative assistants
Reporting & Analysis:
· Track and report on sales performance, forecasts, and KPIs
· Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve account performance and profitability
Required Skills/Abilities:
· National Account Manager experience is strongly preferred.
· Strong understanding of retail sales, merchandising, and account growth strategies
· Proven ability to analyze sales data and translate insights into action
· Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
· Highly motivated, results-driven, and proactive mindset
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
· Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
· Strong financial acumen.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Education and Experience:
4-year degree from accredited college/university
Physical Requirements:
· Lifting and shipping of samples
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
· Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing
