Full Job Description

The Departments of Family and Community Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas are seeking applications for a faculty position.

Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. A doctoral degree in Biostatistics, Statistics or related field required. A history of involvement in grant writing and professional publication is preferred. Competitive candidates will have a strong professional desire to advance and strengthen the field of biostatistics as applied to clinical research. The candidate must have an excellent interpersonal and communication style essential for developing and building collaborative research projects throughout the medical environment. Experience in working with inter-disciplinary research team is desirable. Proficient computing in either SAS, SPSS, or R and demonstrated knowledge of designing and conducting clinical trials will be required. This position will involve assisting with the statistical design for research studies, managing and analyzing data, and writing up research findings for publication. Some teaching and mentoring of residents and faculty in research and statistical methods may also be required.
