Vertical CNC Machinist (Haas) in Grand Prairie, TX 75050

Pay:

$22-24/hr

Perks:

Monday-Friday 6am- 230pm

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Vertical CNC Machinist to join our growing manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of hands-on experience operating and setting up Vertical CNC Mills, primarily Haas machines. This position requires a strong understanding of machining principles, blueprint reading, precision measurement, and maintaining tight tolerances while producing high-quality parts in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up and operate Vertical CNC Mills, primarily Haas machining centers.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
Load programs, perform tool offsets, and make minor program edits as needed.
Select and install tooling, fixtures, and work-holding devices.
Monitor machine operations and adjust offsets to maintain part quality and tolerances.
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and other inspection equipment.
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements.
Maintain production schedules while ensuring quality standards are met.
Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive tasks.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Haas controls and programming.
Knowledge of tooling selection and cutting parameters.
Experience with tight-tolerance machining.
Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience is a plus.
