Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Parts Director to lead our parts department with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the sourcing, procurement, inventory management, and distribution of automotive parts and accessories. Your leadership will ensure seamless operations, optimize supply chain processes, and deliver exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is passionate about automotive parts management, possesses strong negotiation skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where proactive problem-solving and team collaboration drive success.

Duties

Lead the parts department by developing strategies to enhance inventory control, procurement processes, and parts sourcing efficiency.
Manage supplier relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and performance evaluation to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
Oversee warehouse management activities including receiving, shipping, storage, and inventory accuracy using inventory management systems and ERP platforms.
Coordinate demand planning and pricing strategies to meet customer needs while maintaining optimal stock levels.
Supervise parts administration tasks such as data entry, order management, parts sourcing, and internal communication to streamline operations.
Implement and monitor logistics processes for shipping & receiving, ensuring timely delivery of parts to customers and service departments.
Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge to support automotive service teams in identifying parts requirements accurately.
Maintain compliance with OEM standards and industry regulations related to auto body repair, auto parts sales, and procurement practices.

Skills

Extensive experience in supply chain management with a focus on automotive parts or manufacturing environments.
Proven supplier management experience with strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and build lasting partnerships.
Proficiency in inventory management systems, ERP software, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and order management platforms.
Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle systems, OEM specifications, auto body repair processes, HVAC systems, and sourcing strategies.
Skilled in warehouse management including forklift operation certification and shipping & receiving procedures.
Strong understanding of procurement management, demand planning, pricing strategies, logistics inventory management, and sourcing techniques.
Excellent internal communication skills paired with data entry accuracy for parts administration and inventory control tasks.
Ability to analyze data related to automotive parts sales trends, inventory levels, and supply chain performance to inform decision-making.
Customer service orientation with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments such as sales, service teams, and external suppliers.
