Inter-Con is searching for motivated individuals to join our growing team of Armed and Unarmed Security Officers. We are currently hiring for both armed and unarmed security opportunities. As a Security Officer, you’ll work as part of a close-knit team that serves as the backbone of the comprehensive security services Inter-Con provides to our valued clients every day.
Depending on the assignment, Security Officers may perform a variety of protective security, access control, monitoring, and customer service functions. Armed positions may have additional licensing, firearms, training, and experience requirements based on the assignment and applicable state regulations.

Summary:
Security responsibilities may include access control for visitors, monitoring security-related CCTV systems, alarm monitoring and response, incident response and coordination with the Security Operations Center, and security-related reporting. The position requires strong computer skills, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform access control duties, including guest management
- Greet guests and provide professional customer service
- Issue access badges, including temporary, vendor, and guest badges
- Monitor activities through CCTV and alarm systems
- Respond to and appropriately escalate security incidents
- Assist facilities team members as needed
- Perform additional security-related duties based on assignment
- For armed assignments, carry and maintain assigned firearms/equipment in accordance with company policy, client requirements, and applicable laws
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be CPR certified
- Demonstrated commitment to the security and reception team mission
- Experience working with high-level individuals in complex, unstructured situations
- Successful completion of a background review and drug screening
- Excellent writing and analytical skills
- Ability to create and cultivate trust and transparency in professional relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Armed Security Officer positions require all applicable armed security licenses/permits and must meet additional firearms and training requirements
- Additional qualifications may apply depending on the specific assignment
Incentive Eligibility:
- Remain actively employed through 90 days
- Assigned to an eligible ASW location
- Remain in good standing
- Fewer than 6 attendance/performance points
- No active Final Written Warnings or pending disciplinary actions
- Complete all required onboarding and training
Disqualification: Resignation or termination before 90 days, exceeding 6 points, or not being in good standing at payout.
