Position: Massage Therapist Location: Ithaca, NY Company: Integrative Oral Health
Are you a skilled massage therapist with a passion for helping patients overcome dental anxiety? We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate massage therapist to join our dental office in Ithaca, NY. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our patients' overall comfort and relaxation by providing foot and leg massages.
Responsibilities:
- Provide foot and leg massages to patients to help alleviate dental anxiety and promote relaxation, during dental procedures.
- Assess patients' specific needs and preferences to tailor massages accordingly.
- Maintain a clean and organized massage area, ensuring all equipment and supplies are readily available. These will be sanitized between each patient.
- Adhere to all ethical and professional standards of conduct in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a seamless patient experience.
Requirements:
- Valid certification or license as a massage therapist in the state of New York.
- Proven experience as a massage therapist, preferably in a healthcare or wellness setting.
- Excellent knowledge of various massage techniques and their therapeutic benefits.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature to address patients' anxiety and concerns effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect patients' privacy.
- Strong time management skills to ensure appointments are kept on schedule.
- Will incorporate the highest standards of infection control by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, supplied by the office.
Working Hours:
- Monday through Thursday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Friday: 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
- Flexible schedule within office hours: Open to one day a week or half days or more days if you are available.
Note: Flexibility with scheduling may be required to accommodate patient needs.
