Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are a busy medical office located in Ithaca, NY, seeking a reliable and patient-oriented receptionist to be the first point of contact for our patients. The ideal candidate will be professional, detail-oriented, and able to manage a high volume of phone calls and patient interactions with ease.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and check in patients with a warm and professional attitude.
Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries.
Verify patient information and update medical records.
Assist with insurance verification.
Obtain prior authorizations
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming office environment.
Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
Additional tasks as needed

Qualifications:

Prior experience in a medical office setting preferred.
Experience with Medent software is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Professional demeanor and a caring attitude toward patients.

The right candidate would be willing to learn and work in our Optical Department.
