As an Application Scientist and Product Manager, you will work with our scientist customers to identify their needs and educate them about our current products; with our R&D team to adapt existing products and to develop new products for unmet needs; and with our Sales and Marketing team to develop marketing collateral that maximizes customer engagement . You will drive sales growth of key product categories using hard data and rigorous operational discipline while maintaining a fierce commitment to our "customer-first" philosophy.
The Role
As Application Scientist and Product Manager, you will play a key role in identifying potential customers and building customer relationships. You will perform in-house and collaborative experiments and generate white papers for key product categories and educate our customers to their most effective use. You will define new product opportunities and assist in writing proposals to fund their development.

· Structural Sciences: Supporting elite academic, government and industrial researchers using X-ray crystallography and electron microscopy to probe the architecture of biomolecules, pharmaceuticals, cells, and novel materials.
· Cryopreservation Sciences: Translating fundamental insights into new technologies for assisted reproduction and biobanking of domesticated, endangered, and biomedical research animal species.
From early-stage drug discovery to advanced IVF, we build the underlying tools that make breakthroughs possible.
What You’ll Do:
Your role is to drive product innovation and sales growth while respecting the rigorous standards and technical sophistication of our scientist customers.
- Drive Technology Adoption: Develop and execute strategies to help customers understand and extract maximum value from our products. You will author high-impact white papers and application notes and ensure that our technology becomes an indispensable part of the researcher’s workflow.
- Connect with Key Influencers: Build trusted relationships with laboratory managers, facility directors, X-ray beamline scientists, and critical research support personnel who champion our technology.
- Architect Innovation: Translate complex customer needs into clear product specifications. You will design and perform validation experiments and assist with proposal generation to fuel new product development.
- Expand Markets Horizons: Scout adjacent and emerging fields. By consulting with researchers in new domains, you will identify opportunities and define novel product applications.
- Play for the Team: Support R&D, Production and Sales teams by answering technical questions, solving problems, and aligning our internal goals with customer realities.

Preferred Qualifications
- Educational Foundation: A Ph.D. or a B.S./M.S. with equivalent hands-on experience Biophysics, Structural Biology, Cryobiology, Chemistry, Physics/Applied Physics, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline (Chemical/Biomedical).
- Technical Expertise: Experience in molecular structure determination (via X-ray diffraction, cryo-EM, or related methods) OR in cryobiology/cryopreservation.
- Commercial Track Record: Demonstrated success in building relationships and solving customer problems in a commercial role or as a facility manager/user-support scientist in a collaborative research environment.
- Scientific Sales/Support Experience: Experience in selling scientific consumables, reagents, and/or small laboratory instrumentation to the academic, government and industrial research communities.
Also Desirable
- CRM and Tech Stack Mastery: Experience with process development, customization, and administration within CRM platforms (Zoho CRM) and outbound automation tools.
