Cabildo Staffing is seeking a Staffing Coordinator / Driver for our Jackson office to support the staffing operations of a local waste collection facility. This position plays a critical role in recruiting, scheduling, deploying, and transporting employees who work as "hoppers"—waste collectors who ride on the backs of collection trucks to assist with residential and commercial waste pickup. This position is based at the waste collection yard and requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruit, interview, and onboard qualified hopper candidates.
Maintain an active pipeline of applicants to meet ongoing staffing needs.
Schedule employees and coordinate daily workforce assignments.
Deploy employees to work assignments and ensure proper staffing levels.
Transport employees to and from the work yard and assigned job sites using a company-provided vehicle.
Communicate with employees regarding schedules, attendance, and job expectations.
Complete new hire paperwork, applications, and other onboarding documentation.
Work closely with management to address staffing needs and ensure reliable daily operations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in recruiting, staffing, scheduling, or administrative support preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient with computers and standard office software.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required. Chauffeur's license preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting salary: $20-$22/hour, based on experience.
A performance review will be conducted after 90 days (3 months) with the opportunity for a compensation adjustment based on performance.
Company vehicle provided for employee transportation during work hours.
