What You Will Do:
You'll help ensure the accuracy, accountability, and compliance of our nuclear material control program by supporting measurement systems, reconciling inventory, preparing regulatory filings, and maintaining key NMC&A procedures. You'll serve as a subject matter expert, collaborate across the organization to improve processes, provide training, support corrective action programs, and help ensure compliance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Nuclear Materials Management and Safeguards System (NMMSS) requirements—all while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
We’d Love to Hear From People With:
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 10+ years of Nuclear Material Control & Accountability (NMC&A) experience at a DOE or NRC regulated facility
- Strong knowledge of nuclear material accounting principles, measurement systems, inventory reconciliation, and regulatory reporting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical, operational, and regulatory teams
The ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” clearance.

A Successful Candidate Brings:
- Experience preparing NRC and NMMSS reports and regulatory correspondence
- Experience revising Nuclear Material Control & Accountability procedures, including Fundamental Nuclear Material Control Plans (FNMCP)
- Experience training or mentoring personnel on NMC&A requirements and best practices
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to enhance compliance, efficiency, and operational effectiveness
An active “Q” level security clearance

Pay:
Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $76,010-$126,683. This position is Bonus eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. While the posted range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position, compensation above the range may be considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant experience.

This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.

Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
