Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our finance team. In this role, you will deliver day to day administrative and operational support that keeps the Finance department’s AR and AP processes running smoothly, ensures data accuracy, and enables the leadership team to stay on track with its Vision, Plan, and quarterly goals (Rocks).

Key Responsibilities

Vision: Translate the AR & AP goals into daily actions.

People: Support the finance team’s development and accountability.

Data: Support the AR & AP Scorecard that feeds the Level‑10 meeting.

Issues: Capture and help resolve finance related‑ problems.

Process: Document, maintain, and improve core accounting SOPs.

Deliverables:

Vision

Quarterly Rocks that align with the AR & AP function (e.g., 100% aged invoices with cash collection call)

People

Individual scorecards (KPIs) – Invoices processed, error rate, aged invoices

Data

Weekly Scorecard metrics

Issues

Support Issue log with root cause analysis for AR & AP functions

Processes

Transaction Processing – Record cash receipts, vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and assist with journal entries
AR Support – Apply cash and perform cash collection activities
AP Support – Match invoices to purchase orders, code correctly, and investigate issues.
Reporting – Pull standard reports (expense summaries, aging, cash position) as required for the team and for the Level10 meeting
Effective communication
Work hand in hand with the AR & AP Manager to facilitate team’s ability to meet its goals.
Ask clarifying questions, be intellectually curious

Culture

Handle sensitive information responsibly and ethically
Model, inspire, and uphold the Company’s values

Skills

Proficiency in financial software applications is essential
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Basic understanding of accounting principles is preferred but not required
Prior experience in finance or administrative roles is a plus

Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour
