We are seeking a Part-Time Temporary Recruiting & Onboarding Coordinator to support hiring and onboarding activities at our distribution facility in Jackson, Tennessee. This short-term role will provide hands-on coordination and administrative support throughout the recruiting and new-hire onboarding process, with a focus on delivering an organized and positive candidate experience.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of hourly candidates. Previous experience supporting recruiting and onboarding within a distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, fulfillment, or similar environment is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day coordination and administrative support for hourly recruiting activities.
- Coordinate new-hire onboarding, including required documentation, pre-employment requirements, and orientation scheduling.
- Review incoming applications and conduct initial candidate screenings based on established qualifications.
- Assist with candidate sourcing through job boards, recruiting platforms, referrals, social media and community resources.
- Schedule and coordinate candidate interviews with hiring managers and facility leadership.
- Maintain timely communication with candidates regarding interviews, next steps, and onboarding requirements.
- Assist with offer coordination and pre-employment activities.
- Help facilitate new-hire orientation and ensure employees have the information needed for a successful first day.
- Maintain accurate candidate and new-hire information in applicable recruiting and HR systems.
- Track candidates through the recruiting and onboarding process and follow up on outstanding requirements.
- Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, and operations teams to support current staffing priorities.
- Assist with hiring events and other recruiting initiatives as needed.
- Follow established company recruiting, onboarding, employment, and compliance practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a recruiting coordinator, HR coordinator, onboarding coordinator, staffing coordinator, or similar role preferred.
- Experience supporting new-hire onboarding and pre-employment processes strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting high-volume hourly hiring in a distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, fulfillment, logistics, or similar environment is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple candidates and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with HR, Talent Acquisition, and operations teams.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HR systems, job boards, and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
