Who We Are
Hotel Jackson is a boutique luxury hotel on the Town Square in Jackson, Wyoming. We are independently owned, personally operated, and deeply invested in this place. Hospitality here isn’t transactional — it’s an act of genuine connection. We believe in warmth, authenticity, expertise, and the kind of care that makes guests feel truly at home.
Our mission is simple: We are here to host. That means anticipating needs, elevating every detail, and delivering impactful memorable moments.
The Role
We’re hiring a Public Areas Attendant to maintain the cleanliness, presentation, and overall condition of all guest-facing common spaces throughout the hotel. You’ll work across the lobby, corridors, restrooms, elevator areas, fitness center, pool, and back-of-house spaces, keeping everything at the standard Hotel Jackson’s guests expect — without ever being noticed doing it.
That invisibility is the mark of the role done well. Guests shouldn’t have to think about cleanliness or tidiness — because you’ve already handled it. We’re looking for someone who takes quiet pride in that, and who understands that a well-kept hotel is a hospitality statement as much as a service task.
What You’ll Own
- Lobby and entrance: maintain the lobby, entrance areas, and front desk surroundings to an immaculate standard throughout every shift — this is the guest’s first impression and it should always be flawless.
- Corridors and elevator areas: clean and monitor all guest floor corridors, elevator landings, and stairwells on a consistent rotation so they are always presentable regardless of traffic levels.
- Public restrooms: clean, sanitize, and restock all public restrooms on a scheduled rotation and respond immediately to any reports of issues — restroom standards are non-negotiable.
- Fitness center: clean equipment, floors, mirrors, and surfaces; restock towels and supplies; and ensure the space is safe, sanitary, and guest-ready at all times.
- Pool and spa areas: maintain cleanliness of pool surrounds, furniture, towel stations, and ancillary areas in accordance with health and safety requirements.
- Meeting and event spaces: reset, clean, and prepare meeting rooms and event spaces before and after use as directed by housekeeping leadership.
- Back-of-house areas: maintain cleanliness of staff corridors, service elevators, and back-of-house spaces to the standard required by Hotel Jackson’s operating procedures.
- Spills and incidents: respond immediately to spills, tracked-in debris, or any cleanliness issue in a public area — speed matters here because guests are present.
- Supplies and equipment: keep your cart stocked and equipment in good working order; report any maintenance issues or supply shortages to housekeeping leadership promptly.
- Lost and found: handle any items found in public areas according to Hotel Jackson’s lost and found protocol, logging and turning over items without delay.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, facilities, or public areas experience preferred; motivated candidates without prior experience will be considered.
- High attention to detail — you notice what’s out of place and correct it without being asked.
- Reliable, consistent, and self-directed: you manage your section independently and stay productive through a full shift.
- Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and carrying supplies throughout a full shift.
- Quick to respond — a spill or issue in a public area is an immediate priority, not something to get to eventually.
- Professional and discreet in guest-facing spaces: you work efficiently without disrupting the guest experience.
- Availability for variable shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Who Thrives Here
This role is a fit for someone who takes genuine satisfaction in a well-kept environment — in the lobby that’s always sharp, the restroom that’s always stocked, the corridor that’s always clean. The work is active, independent, and tangible: you can see the difference you’ve made at the end of every shift.
You’ll thrive if you:
- Take ownership of your areas without needing to be told — if something needs attention, you handle it.
- Move with purpose and stay consistently productive across a full shift.
- Take pride in a standard that never slips, even late in the shift when no one is looking.
- Are comfortable working independently in guest-facing spaces with professionalism and discretion.
This may not be the right fit if you:
- Need close supervision or frequent direction to stay on task and maintain your section.
- Are not comfortable with the physical demands of a full shift of active cleaning and movement.
- Prefer a role with regular guest interaction or a more varied task structure.
