On-Site Human Resources Manager
Position Summary
The On-Site Human Resources Manager serves as the primary on-property Human Resources partner, providing administrative coordination, employee support, and operational execution of People & Culture initiatives. Working under the direction of the Director of People & Culture, this position ensures the daily administration of HR programs while maintaining a positive employee experience and supporting resort operations.
This role is responsible for coordinating recruiting, onboarding, training, employee communications, HR compliance, and employee engagement activities. The HR Manager serves as a resource for employees and leaders, escalating complex employee relations matters, investigations, policy interpretation, and strategic HR decisions to the Director of People & Culture.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, approachable, service-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Essential Responsibilities
HR Operations & Administration
Employee Support

Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, and employment processes.

Build positive working relationships with employees throughout the resort.

Escalate employee relations concerns, investigations, accommodations, and disciplinary matters to the Director of People & Culture.

Assist with preparing documentation related to coaching, corrective action, and performance management.
Training & Development

Coordinate new hire orientation and ongoing training schedules.

Track required compliance and operational training completion.

Assist with leadership development programs and employee learning initiatives.

Coordinate training materials, meeting logistics, and attendance records.
Employee Engagement

Assist in planning employee appreciation events, recognition programs, celebrations, and wellness initiatives.

Coordinate employee communications and bulletin boards.

Support employee surveys, stay interviews, and engagement initiatives.

Help reinforce Trailborn's Core Values and culture throughout the property.
Compliance & Safety

Assist with I-9 administration, E-Verify, workers' compensation documentation, unemployment claims, and leave administration.

Support OSHA reporting and workplace safety initiatives.

Ensure HR processes remain compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Prepare documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
Operational Support

Maintain a visible presence throughout the resort to support employees and department leaders.

Assist with seasonal housing coordination and employee logistics.

Support departmental scheduling, staffing initiatives, and operational projects as assigned.

Perform additional administrative and operational duties to support the Director of People & Culture and resort leadership.
Qualifications
Education
-
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
Experience
2–5 years of Human Resources, HR Coordinator, HR Generalist

Hospitality or hotel experience preferred.

Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS/payroll systems preferred.
Strong administrative, organizational, and customer service skills.
Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse workforce in both verbal and written settings.
