Overview
We are seeking an experienced Civil Construction Estimator / Project Manager with a strong background in heavy construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience, be proficient in Excel and Adobe, along with other software applications, and possess extensive knowledge of construction means and methods. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented professional who can handle both the estimation and project management phases, ensuring smooth project coordination and successful completion.

Duties

Prepare accurate cost estimates for heavy construction projects (e.g., roadwork, water, sewer, storm drain systems).
Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and work plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
Coordinate with superintendents, clients, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to resolve project issues.
Oversee project progress, ensuring compliance with contract documents, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Review and analyze project documents, specifications, and drawings to ensure accuracy.
Utilize Excel and Adobe for detailed cost analysis, budgeting, and documentation.
Manage project resources effectively, tracking labor, materials, and equipment.
Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and address on-site challenges.
Maintain strong client relationships, providing regular updates and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience

Minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating/project management in civil construction.
Proficiency in Excel and Adobe software for estimating, budgeting, and project management.
Strong understanding of construction means and methods for roadwork, site grading, water, sewer, and storm drain projects.
Proven experience coordinating with subcontractors, superintendents, clients, and engineers.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Familiarity with additional project management or estimating software.
Prior experience with projects of similar scope and scale.
