Full Job Description

SCIENTIST

Kelly Science and Clinical is looking for a passionate and driven Scientist to join one of our Global Medical Device clients in Jacksonville, FL for an exciting long-term opportunity. If you love pushing the boundaries of science and want your work to genuinely impact people's lives, this role is for you.

Pay Rate: $24.00 – $28.00/hr and up, based on experience
Shift: Monday – Friday | Day Shift
Duration: One year with strong potential to extend

What You'll Be Doing

Step into a dynamic lab environment where no two days are the same. You'll be at the forefront of advanced materials characterization, working with cutting-edge instrumentation and techniques including:
FTIR spectroscopy, Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), and Dynamic Vapor Sorption (DVS)
Refractive index measurement, oxygen permeability testing, and optical density analysis
Contact-angle determination, surface roughness evaluation, and gravimetric water content assessment
Routine solution testing — pH, conductivity, and osmolality — using USP and validated methods
Beyond testing, you'll help develop and implement new test methods, support method validation, and contribute to analytical work spanning stability, pre-clinical, clinical, and regulatory studies.

You'll also play a key role in:

Supporting competitor product analysis and building out a master database
Contributing to new instrumentation qualification
Assisting with equipment calibration management and system updates
Participating in guided analytical method development aligned with team priorities

What You Bring

BS in Chemistry, Forensics Science or a related field
1+ year of industry lab experience
Solid understanding of data integrity, quality, and management principles
Experience working in a GxP/R&D environment
Sharp analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and organizational skills
