Position: SRE/Zscaler Operations Specialist

Pay Rate: $67.00 (W2 only) or $74.00 (C2C)
HYBRID: Must be able to work ONSITE 3 day per week (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY!)
The SRE/Zscaler Operations Specialist ensures all provided IT services are robust, controlled and delivered effectively and efficiently. This includes monitoring services, preventing and resolving service failures, fixing problems as well as carrying out operational tasks.
The Operation Services Specialist will manage degradations or disruption of services identified and reported by service consumers or by the analysis and reactions to events on the respective service components in order to quickly re-establish the service to the full extent.
The Operations Services Specialist works through service-related requests in accordance with existing service catalogue components. They will manage access requests to enable, revoke or modify privileges based on proper policy standards or direction from CISO. They will provide governance of the services, based on calculated service and capacity availability metrics, to ensure availability is not jeopardized by insufficient capacities as a result of consumption trends, upcoming campaigns or peak consumptions.
Operations Services Specialist will be responsible for the Dev-Ops Level support of the centrally managed Device Management End User platforms: Mobility, Remote Access RAS, Server Based Computing Platforms, MobileIron, Intune, Zscaler and related platforms.
They will be driving knowledge improvement to the Tier 1 and Tier 2 Service Desk, engagement with vendors (including those providing managed or hosted services that deliver desktop or printing environments) and engineering teams for unresolved incidents. The team is also responsible for Disaster Recovery event coordination, outage management and problem resolution on these platforms. Finally, the Mobility Operations team will be the service owner of the platforms and associated products, and will be responsible for driving the service improvement plans, incident reduction through problem management, definition of communications and release plans and the engagement with 3rd party vendors.
This role also contributes to the day-to-day support of over 150,000 mobile end points. A strong technical resource with experience in remote access platforms and demonstrated people management skills is required to drive our strategic vision and to transition to best-in-class future mobile platforms.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Thorough understanding of Zscaler Proxy, its Architecture for ZPA, ZIA and ZDX.
Prior experience of deploying ZPA, ZIA and ZDX for Enterprises
Prior experience of supporting ZPA, ZIA and ZDX for Enterprises which includes Troubleshooting issues, documenting KBs, engagement with Vendor, Internal Engineering and other teams.
Clear understanding of Zscaler Client Connector (ZCC) packet captures and analysis.
Clear understanding of Certificates and cryptography.
Prior experience of handling DR and BCP exercises and review DR plans.
Proactive in thought process and be able to identify gaps and propose improvements.
Excellent in documentation, preparing and updating KOPs, KBs, FAQs and other operational documents.
Good understanding of SIEM products like Splunk, how to use them and run reports and customizing dashboards for meaningful representations.
Working knowledge of LAN, WAN, Data Networks and Server Datacenters
Clear understanding of OSI Model and TCP/IP stack
Network / Firewall experience and understanding of key concepts.
Assist with the creation and customization of monitoring dashboards.
Provide administration support on Unix/windows servers for remote access related issues and management.
Understand the full project lifecycle and take ownership of project deliverables to ensure successful implementation and integration of configuration changes.
Produce FAQs/process improvement recommendations to reduce call volume.
Develop automation opportunities to reduce manual support responsibilities.
Good understanding of incident, problem, and change management workflow processes
Good understanding of monitoring concepts and technologies
Analysis and reporting of deployment status to various stakeholders in a presentable form
Operational risk analysis and risk management with various application deployments from stability and user experience perspective
Troubleshooting deployment issues (basic level on server and understanding of end user desktop issues with application install/uninstall)
Extensive experience in information security and/or IT risk management with a focus on security, performance, and reliability.
Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization and security.
Good working knowledge of current IT risks and experience implementing security solutions.
Clear understanding of Firewalls, Load balancers, WAF and its operations.
Proven record of thoroughness and diligence as any mistake can affect 150,000 end points
Excellent communication skills to cater to internal DB clients, End User Computing engineering and incident resolver groups, and external vendor service teams.
