Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive support two attorneys. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment, assisting attorneys with case management, assisting clients, document review and preparation, and various administrative tasks. The Paralegal will play a vital role in ensuring efficient case progression and maintaining high standards of legal support.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include assisting with active litigation cases; opening and organizing files; maintaining online calendars and scheduling for attorneys; preparing/drafting correspondences, pleadings, discovery, and other similar documents; communicating with clients; communicating with opposing counsel; and other duties as needed. You must be familiar with and proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook email and calendaring, mailing/postage, detail oriented, able to perform well under pressure, and not easily frustrated with deadlines.

Candidate must possess the following skills:

- 1+ years of civil litigation experience is preferred

- Excellent secretarial and clerical skills is required

- Maintain case files electronically is required

- Applicants must be able to multi-task and possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, with ability to work independently is required

- Experience handling all stages of litigation files

- Experience with Florida e-filing portal system

- Good communication and customer service skills (must be professional and courteous)

- Ability to manage attorneys’ calendars

- Coordination and scheduling of depositions, hearings and conferences with opposing counsel, judicial assistants and clients

- Gather information, materials, and documents necessary to respond to discovery

- Draft correspondence, pleadings and discovery responses

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat is required

- Positive work ethic is a must
