Position Summary
The Security Operations Manager is responsible for the overall management of security operations within an assigned portfolio of clients. This includes scheduling personnel, maintaining staffing levels, ensuring training and compliance, conducting site inspections, managing client relationships, improving operational performance, supporting business development efforts, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
This position requires a leader who can effectively balance personnel management, customer service, operational oversight, and business growth while maintaining the highest professional standards.
Primary ResponsibilitiesOperations Management
- Manage daily operations across multiple client locations.
- Ensure all security contracts are staffed appropriately and consistently.
- Develop and maintain officer schedules while minimizing overtime and staffing shortages.
- Respond to operational issues and emergencies on a 24/7 on-call rotation as required.
- Conduct routine site inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and client expectations.
- Ensure all sites maintain professional appearance, performance, and operational readiness.
- Coordinate coverage for open shifts and emergency staffing needs.
- Investigate incidents and ensure accurate documentation is completed.
- Develop corrective action plans when operational deficiencies are identified.
- Monitor key performance indicators and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Leadership & Personnel Management
- Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard security personnel.
- Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and security officers.
- Conduct employee evaluations and performance reviews.
- Promote accountability, professionalism, and leadership throughout the organization.
- Address employee concerns promptly and professionally.
- Administer disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Build a positive culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and customer service.
- Identify future leaders and assist in succession planning.
Training & Professional Development
- Ensure all officers complete required onboarding and mandatory training.
- Develop operational procedures and post orders.
- Conduct ongoing training sessions covering:
- Customer service
- Emergency response
- Report writing
- De-escalation techniques
- Site-specific procedures
- Company policies
- Professional appearance and conduct
- Maintain compliance with all applicable licensing requirements.
- Evaluate officer performance and provide coaching to improve effectiveness.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
- Conduct regular client meetings and site visits.
- Ensure client expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
- Address client concerns quickly and professionally.
- Develop customized security solutions based on client needs.
- Maintain long-term relationships through exceptional communication and responsiveness.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for clients regarding operational improvements.
Business Development
- Assist in identifying new business opportunities.
- Participate in sales presentations and client meetings.
- Conduct security assessments for prospective clients.
- Develop proposals and operational recommendations.
- Support contract renewals and account growth initiatives.
- Build relationships with property managers, HOAs, commercial clients, logistics facilities, industrial operations, and community associations.
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts.

Administrative Responsibilities
- Review and approve employee schedules.
- Monitor payroll accuracy and timekeeping.
- Maintain accurate employee and client records.
- Complete operational reports and incident reviews.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Assist with budgeting and operational planning.
- Track staffing metrics and operational performance.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 3–5 years of management or leadership experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening.
Preferred
- Security management experience.
- Military or law enforcement leadership experience.
- Experience managing multiple locations.
- Experience with scheduling large workforces.
- Business development or sales experience.
- Experience working with HOAs, commercial properties, logistics facilities, industrial sites, or private communities.
- Familiarity with state licensing requirements and security regulations.

Work Environment
This position combines office responsibilities with field operations. The Operations Manager will regularly visit client sites, conduct inspections, attend meetings, and respond to operational needs throughout the service area.
The schedule may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and participation in an on-call rotation as business needs require.
