Full Job Description

Knowledge of standards for security, ethics, confidentiality, rules of conduct and professionalism.

· All shift personnel must write a Shift Report in the EMR system concerning the routine functions that occurred through the shift, reporting any unusual or remarkable client behaviors and any significant issues that occurred during their shift.

· Must be able to verbally de-escalate clients who may be suffering the ill effects of drug withdrawal and maintain composure during stressful or tense situations.

· Must be able to prioritize tasks in a multifunctional setting.

· Ensure the client rooms have basic hygiene supplies, proper bedding, linens and advise Facility Director of shortages to avoid running out of essential supplies

· The position requires that the Techs will check the facility for client safety, infection control issues and report any potential health or safety issues to the Medial staff and/or Maintenance staff immediately.

· The Techs will always supervise and oversee clients and be alert to client whereabouts

· Must have keen awareness of Confidentiality healthcare; boundaries between support staff and sensitivity to client’s needs.

· Ensure their documentation (i.e. Logbook) is thorough and detailed prior to ending their shift.

· Techs may be the first contact when a client crisis occurs and must be able to accurately to assess the scene and contact executive management. This includes facility emergency, resident emergency.

· Handle on site random urine screen protocols.

· Must be fully aware of the Disaster Plan and ready to implement the Disaster Plan whenever necessary.

· Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Evening/overnight staff is required to perform rounds of the facility, perform bed checks on clients without waking them and report irregularities and missing clients appropriately and expediently per policy and procedure.

· Drivers must have valid drivers license and be able to be covered by company insurance. Drivers must be able to drive a 15-passenger van.

· Follow the agencies vision, mission and values.

· Ensure integrity of the sober living program to include ‘contract’ and phase compliance. Being aware of the treatment status of ALL residents in their charge.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must have proven ability to supervise others in a supportive manner

Preferably should have at least 2 years clean/sober of any mood/mind altering substances if self-reporting they are in recovery.

Prior experience in a residential setting or sober house environment is preferred.

Drivers must have a valid driver license and be able to be covered by company insurance in addition to having the capability of operating a 15-passenger van.

Must have thorough knowledge and practice of 12 Step Recovery

Must be able to perform basic cleaning and home maintenance duties

Must be able to lift 30 lbs., navigate stairs and utilize basic home maintenance tools and equipment

· Maintains current certification for this position:

· CPR

· First Aid

· HIPAA/Confidentiality Training

· Valid driver’s license or otherwise reliable means of transportation
