Full Job Description

Perfect Golf Event (PerfectGolfEvent.com) is a Jacksonville, Fla. based company whose primary mission is to help event organizers (primarily non-profits) to have a more enjoyable golf event and raise more money in an easy and cost efficient manner. Perfect Golf Event assists groups looking to organize, manage and market a (fundraising) golf event, benefiting in three key areas: Fundraising, maintaining a connection with supporters and developing new potential supporters by introducing them to the organization through social golf events and tournaments. Perfect Golf Event works with thousands of events nationwide.

Position Objective

The position is accountable for proactively soliciting new business and handling sales opportunities. Ensure business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery. Conducts day-to-day activities related to sales with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of sales objectives and established goals. The position requires a self-motivating individual who can convey an image of confidence in themselves and value in our company. This position requires an individual who can align themselves and their day-to-day functions with our brand.

Sales Representative Job Responsibilities

· Prospects, qualifies, and generates sales within the company’s established parameters that have been developed with customers, working with new, existing and former customers.

· Reach out to local chapters of organizations that frequently use Perfect Golf Event – for example, Rotary Club contacts, Chamber of Commerce, and Alumni Organizations.

· Follow up on existing non-PGE events identified through our Internet Research Program.

· Account qualification and needs analysis at all prospect levels.

· Telephone existing customers and referrals to identify appropriate contacts, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline. Not a high volume of ‘cold’ sales, but significant interaction with current and prospective customers can be expected.

· Actively monitor event accounts and identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell existing customers

· Works closely with support teams. Tracks product line sales and costs by analyzing and entering sales, expense, and new business data.

· Prepare marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data.

· Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

· Responds to requests from customers for information and, in certain cases, gives brief online introductions with more detailed presentations performed by others.

· In partnership with other team members, coordinates product demonstrations for Perfect Golf Event and Perfect Silent Auction potential clients.

· Advises clients on the best options for event day contests, merchandise, hole in one insurance, and signage to meet their event needs.

· Manages the submission of merchandise purchase orders with vendors, ensuring timely delivery.

· Remains knowledgeable and current on changes and developments in the company’s infrastructure and golf industry.

· Keeps management informed of all activity, including timely preparation of reports and real-time posting to various online systems.

· Working with company management develops realistic and attainable sales goals for this position.

Sales Representative Job Duties

· Engages present and prospective customers by answering incoming calls and website inquiries; operating telephone equipment and other telecommunications/social media technologies.

· Documents transactions in the online/CRM system, including call summaries and follow-up reminders.

· Maintains database by entering and verifying data.

· Maintain operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.

· Assists other team members as needed in ‘closing’ sales.

· Participate in business review meetings, special events, trade shows, sales meetings and other ad hoc meetings as required.

· Perform any reasonable task as assigned by the leadership team.

· Ability to work flexible schedules to include AM, PM, Weekends (if necessary).

· Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.

· Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy.

Work Environment

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time opportunity. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a mutually agreed upon schedule. Home-based opportunity is not available.

Travel

This position requires occasional attendance at trade shows and/or travel for training purposes.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
A minimum of three (3) years in a sales, marketing, or sales support role.
Highly proficient and comfortable with a variety of technology platforms, especially those used in business-to-business marketing such as a CRM.

Preferred Education and Experience

Experience with business-to-business commerce.
Three years business development or marketing experience.
Experience and some proficiency using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Google Apps.
