Site Lead responsible for overall supervision of the contract performance associated with Contractor Maintenance support in support of MAG-26/29 squadrons. All maintenance to be performed by the contractor personnel shall be conducted by technicians thoroughly trained and knowledgeable in operation and maintenance of all systems required and essential support equipment. The Site Lead is responsible for the certification and designation of all contractor personnel. All work performed shall be in accordance with the NAMP and existing local processes and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Acts as the overall lead, manager, and administrator for the contracted effort supporting aircraft maintenance operations.
· Serves as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities and representatives on technical and program/project issues.
· Oversees Contractor personnel program/project operations by developing procedures, planning, and directing execution of the technical, programming, maintenance, and administrative support effort and monitoring and reporting progress.
· Responsible for recruiting new hires and termination of employees for cause or routine release.
· Screens all employee candidates to ensure adequate qualifications are met before offers are extended.
· Manage and maintain all CMS qualifications, certifications, and training records. Employee Training Records (Electronic or Manual).
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Required:
· A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the aviation maintenance field. At least six (6) years of experience in a management/supervisory position.
· A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Site Lead or equivalent position for a similar contractual effort.
· Must have strong electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical aircraft knowledge, including personal knowledge of computers. This position requires extensive knowledge of the NAVAIRINST 3710.1G and CNAFINST 4790.2. This individual must have a strong mechanical aptitude in order to offer technical direction in all maintenance areas. The person must be knowledgeable of basic supply procedures.
· Demonstrated ability to work with large and diverse teams and effectively provide guidance, direction, and supervision in all areas of the contracted effort, including responsibility for assigning program workloads and duties for entire shifts.
· Must be able to obtain and maintain base access.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
· Work may require frequent bending, reaching, and climbing.
· May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers.
· Work may be performed on top of or under equipment in cramped or awkward positions.
- Must be able to sit, stand, squat, walk, and talk for extended periods during shift.
- Must have the mobility to climb stairs and ladders.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain base access.
