Full Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Clerk with extensive QuickBooks experience to support our accounting and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end reporting. Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and general accounting principles is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Enter and maintain financial transactions in QuickBooks.
Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.
Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
Maintain accurate filing systems for financial records and supporting documentation.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding accounting matters.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
Extensive hands-on experience with QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online).
Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with payroll processing.
Knowledge of financial reporting and basic tax requirements.
Experience working in a small to mid-sized business environment.
