In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will help us streamline our financial processes, support budgeting efforts, and provide clear financial insights that drive our organization forward. We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about precision and accuracy.

Duties

Record and process journal entries using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms to ensure accurate financial data.
Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account analysis to verify the integrity of financial information.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining detailed records.
Reconcile balance sheets by verifying account balances and resolving discrepancies through thorough investigation.
Prepare financial reports including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports to support management decision-making.
Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards.
Support budgeting processes by tracking expenses and revenues to help forecast future financial needs.

Skills

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, governmental accounting practices, and non-profit accounting if applicable.
Knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation techniques.
Experience with account reconciliation processes including bank reconciliation and account analysis.
Familiarity with financial concepts like GAAP compliance, tax regulations, and technical accounting procedures.
Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately for data entry tasks.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for balance sheet reconciliation and financial report writing.
