WHAT YOU’LL DO | THE OPPORTUNITY
As an Assistant Community Leader, you’ll work closely with the Community Leader to support daily operations and lead the team through high-quality service, consistency, and care. You’ll help guide shifts, coach team members, and ensure Calico Cactus runs smoothly—every day.
You’ll be a hands-on leader who sets the tone, meets the day with purpose, and ensures both guests and team members feel supported.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate the team during daily service to deliver warm, gracious guest experiences
- Support day-to-day operations including food quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and team coordination
- Coach, train, and develop team members across all stations
- Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards at all times
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, shift transitions, and daily prep execution
- Act as a role model for Calico Cactus values: grace, consistency, accountability, and teamwork
- Communicate effectively with the Community Leader regarding team performance, operations, and opportunities for improvement
Outside of occasional catering orders and special events or situations, there are no traditional night shifts.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- At least 1 year of leadership experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong communication and people skills
- A passion for leading teams with grace and accountability
- Ability to stay organized and calm in a fast-paced environment
- Pride in cleanliness, consistency, and doing things the right way
- Reliable transportation and flexibility for morning and limited evening shifts
