Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a Community Manager to oversee the daily operations of a residential community. This is a highly visible, front-facing position requiring strong customer service, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate is smart, adaptable, coachable, and willing to learn. We are looking for someone who can listen to how we operate, understand our expectations, and execute our processes rather than simply relying on how things were done at a previous company.

This role is well-suited for a candidate with a strong background in customer service, sales, and marketing who is comfortable interacting with residents, prospects, vendors, and team members on a daily basis. Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is required.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily property operations to ensure efficiency, organization, and performance
Serve as a professional and responsive front-facing representative of the community
Deliver a high level of customer service to current and prospective residents
Lead, coach, and hold on-site team members accountable to company expectations
Learn and consistently follow company processes, procedures, and standards
Manage property financials, including budgeting, reporting, rent collection, and delinquency control
Drive leasing performance and maintain strong conversion and closing results
Execute leasing and marketing strategies to achieve occupancy and revenue goals
Build relationships with prospective residents and effectively communicate the value of the community
Oversee renovation and capital improvement projects from planning through completion
Manage remediation projects, ensuring safety, compliance, communication, and quality standards
Coordinate and manage vendors and contractors
Maintain strong resident relationships and address concerns professionally and promptly
Ensure compliance with Fair Housing requirements and all applicable laws and regulations
Prepare reports and communicate effectively with ownership, leadership, and other stakeholders
Identify operational challenges and take initiative to develop practical solutions
Maintain a clean, professional, and well-run community
Represent the company and community with professionalism in all resident and business interactions

Required Qualifications

Bilingual in English and Spanish
Strong customer service experience, preferably in a front-facing role
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Sales and/or marketing experience with the ability to confidently interact with prospects and close business
Strong judgment, initiative, and problem-solving skills
Ability to learn new processes and systems and follow established company expectations
Willingness to listen, learn, and adapt rather than relying solely on previous experience or practices
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Professional demeanor and ability to represent the company well with residents, prospects, vendors, and team members
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with leadership and the on-site team
Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

The following experience is preferred but not required:

Bachelor's degree
Previous property management experience
Previous apartment or residential leasing experience
Experience managing property budgets and financial reporting
Experience with property management software
Experience with AppFolio
Experience with renovation, capital improvement, or remediation projects
Previous leadership or supervisory experience
