This is a full-time position for a licensed Clinical Psychologist to supervise a team of 5-10 therapists. The individual caseload requirement for this position adjusts based on the number of supervisees. The annual salary range is $157,920 to $177,600. We are seeking a clinician who shares our vision of keeping psychodynamic theory alive while meeting the compliance requirements of managed care.

︎︎Our Model:

The Create Model effectively utilizes psychodynamic theory to assess the appropriateness of other evidence-based interventions through a holistic assessment of the client, comprehensive treatment planning, and a systematic approach to tracking progress while using our LifeWork Map to evaluate core competencies of the therapist.

We COLLABORATE to help you overcome ROADBLOCKS by EQUIPPING you while we ACKNOWLEDGE, TRACK and EVALUATE your progress.

Collaborate to ensure that the unique dynamic between the therapist and the client is conducive to personal growth and self-discovery.

Roadblocks are the root cause of the presenting problem preventing the client from reaching their desired outcomes.

Equip with insight and other evidence-based interventions to overcome roadblocks.

Acknowledge when a client utilizes newly acquired skills and insights to reach their goals.

Track the client’s overall growth routinely to determine if the therapist needs to adapt treatment interventions to the unique needs of the client.

Evaluate client progress through collaborative documentation.

We use the acronym T.I.P.S. as our guiding principles:

Therapeutic Frame: The purpose of having a therapeutic frame is to guide clinicians in their interactions by providing a structure for self-evaluation. The therapeutic frame is meant to help maintain productive relationships. It allows clinicians to recognize and examine when their bias may be present and emphasizes self-awareness.
Individualized Information: Clinicians become aware of what is meaningful to the client in order to create their Life Map. We examine their goals, desires, values and motivation. Individualized information also includes diagnostic considerations in the context of these personal factors.
Protocols, Policies And Procedures: Maintaining awareness of our ethical and legal obligations as licensed clinicians is always an important consideration in therapeutic work. Our organization emphasizes competency in the areas of risk, collaborative documentation, treatment planning and privacy.
Strategies: Once a therapist has examined their therapeutic frame, assessed the individualized information, and considered relevant policies and procedures, the clinician can then choose the most effective therapeutic strategy to meet the unique needs of the client.

︎︎The Way Our Approach is Explained to Clients:

Collaboration is an active attempt to establish the therapeutic alliance, which means that you and your therapist have a good working relationship and that you are both in agreement about the purpose and direction of therapy. Collaboration involves an ongoing awareness of the interactions between you and your therapist. This includes awareness of individual cultures and values. Is there a shared, or mutual, understanding of values, goals, and motivations?

The LifeMap is your treatment plan translated from clinical terms to language that better represents the work we do: The Destination is the desired outcome at the end of therapy. This includes personal goals, relational goals, and goals for daily life. Destination Goals are therapeutic goals that help you and your therapist regularly assess whether you are in agreement with the desired outcomes of therapy.

Landmarks indicate the progress being made along the way. Landmarks are therapeutic objectives that help you and your therapist regularly assess whether headed in the right direction and making progress toward your desired outcomes. Roadblocks are the root cause of the presenting problem preventing you from reaching your landmarks and desired outcomes.

We utilize the therapeutic relationship to equip you with insights, actions, feelings, or interpersonal dynamics that help you move closer to your Landmarks and ultimately your desired Destination. For the most part, we equip you to better understand your current thoughts, habits, and behaviors by developing a greater understanding of past learning. Some Cognitive Behavioral strategies, such as relaxation techniques, may be useful to help alleviate symptoms that you desire to change or overcome, however, you will work to understand the origin of these symptoms so if and when these symptoms resurface you will have a better understanding of how to cope with your problems on your own.

Acknowledging your progress along the way helps us know that our therapeutic alliance is successful. Evaluating the success of our work together is using the LifeMap.

Requirements:

Psy.D. or Ph.D. level licensure in New York
3+ years of supervision experience

Responsibilities:

Ensure practice-wide policies, procedures, and clinical services adhere to best practices and New York regulations
Supervise and mentor a team of 5-10 therapists
Collaborate to enhance operational efficiency and quality of care
Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback for professional growth using our Life-work maps
Join monthly consultations
Assist with interviewing, hiring and onboarding staff as needed

Compensation and Estimated Salary:

Direct Supervision: $250.00 per session. This flat rate includes all associated documentation tasks, including writing supervision notes and signing supervisee notes.
Clinical Sessions: $120.00 per completed session, which includes all associated clinical record-keeping.
Growth & Development: $125.00 per hour for participating in monthly supervisor consultation groups, monthly all-staff consultations, and assisting with the training of new supervisees.
Professional Development: $50.00 per hour for initial onboarding training and required compliance or legal training.

Annual Full-Time Range: $157,920 - $177,600. Full-time positions are dynamically built through a combination of your supervision team size and individual clinical caseload. Positions are developed over a 6-month ramp-up period to allow for stable caseload growth.

Start Date & Credentialing: The start date for this position is flexible. However, the timeline must account for an estimated minimum of 3 months to become fully credentialed with our insurance contracts before clinical sessions can begin.

Pay: $157,920.00 - $177,600.00 per year
