Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our team and contribute to our clients’ financial success. In this role, you will assist in preparing and reviewing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and providing exceptional client service. Your expertise in accounting, tax reporting, and financial software will help deliver accurate and timely tax solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in public accounting while working with a diverse range of clients across various industries.

Duties

Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns using advanced tax preparation software
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws by staying current on relevant regulations and updates
Conduct detailed analysis of financial statements and documents to support accurate tax reporting
Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information, explain tax strategies, and answer inquiries
Assist in tax planning activities to optimize clients’ financial positions and minimize liabilities
Support bookkeeping and accounting tasks using software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms
Collaborate with team members on complex tax issues related to partnership taxation, corporate accounting, and compliance requirements

Requirements

Proven experience in public accounting or related fields with a strong foundation in accounting and finance principles
Demonstrated expertise in tax law, tax return preparation, and tax compliance procedures
Proficiency with tax reporting tools, accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage), and financial software applications
Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately
Excellent client communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly and professionally
High proficiency in math, including 10-key typing skills for efficient data entry
Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
Knowledge of partnership and corporate tax concepts is highly desirable
Prior experience in sales or client acquisition can be an asset for business development efforts
