About the Role: As an Internal Communications Manager, you will lead the strategy, development, and execution of internal communications that keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with the Association’s priorities. You will serve as a trusted advisor to our senior leadership team, support executive messaging and guarantee clear, consistent communication across the Association. This role helps strengthen culture, enhance engagement, and protect the FCS Financial brand from the inside out.

What You’ll Do:
- Internal Communication Strategy: Lead internal communication standards and best practices to promote consistency through the Association.
- Content Development: Create and deliver engaging content including newsletters, internal updates, and employee communications.
- Intranet Management: Oversee and maintain internal communication platforms to ensure content is timely, accessible, and relevant.
- Employee Engagement: Partner with employee engagement teams to enhance connection, transparency, and organizational alignment
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a communication resource for departments, advising on strategy, planning, and execution
- Measurement & Improvement: Monitor communication effectiveness and provide insights to enhance engagement and reach
What You Bring:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in corporate communications, internal communications, employee engagement, or marketing.
Technical Strengths & Skills:
- Strong knowledge of internal communications strategy, executive messaging, and change management
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills across multiple channels
- Experience supporting executive-level communications and organizational messaging
- Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging content
- Strong collaboration, relationship-building skills, and ability to navigate organizational dynamics while managing multiple priorities
- Advanced PowerPoint skills and familiarity with SharePoint or similar intranet platforms

Job Functions*
Internal Communications Strategy and Leadership
- Define, implement, and maintain the Association’s internal communications policy, establishing standardized procedures, best practices, and professional guidelines for all staff.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior and executive leadership, supporting the development, refinement, and delivery of high-level internal messaging, organization updates, and change communications.
- Act as the Association’s subject matter expert for internal messaging, providing advanced technical writing and editorial support for internal communications, presentations and executive correspondence.
- Develop and facilitate training and resources for staff to ensure consistent messaging, clear communication protocols, and alignment with FCS Financial’s brand.
- Develop and monitor internal communications effectiveness metrics (e.g., intranet engagement, newsletter analytics, campaign reach) and provide regular insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Establish and manage an internal communications editorial calendar to ensure message alignment, prioritization, and cadence across the organization.
Cross-Functional Communication Support
- Manage and oversee the Association’s intranet, ensuring content is accurate, relevant, timely, and easily accessible to employees.
- Design, update and maintain high-quality slide decks and visual presentations for leadership and staff, ensuring consistent, professional brand representation for internal and external audiences.
- Partner with the internal employee engagement team (ELEVATE) to support the development and distribution of monthly employee e-newsletter, promoting transparency, connection, and organizational alignment.
- Serve as a dedicated internal communications resource for internal departments, workgroups, and committees, advising on planning, messaging, and execution of internal communication initiatives.
- Curate and create compelling internal content, including employee success stories and organizational milestones, and cultural highlights, to strengthen morale and internal brand loyalty.
- Serve as the central intake and prioritization point for internal communication requests, balancing organizational priorities and minimizing message fatigue.
Marketing and External Support
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to support external communications and broader marketing initiatives as needed.
- Provide writing, editing and storytelling support for external success stories, press releases and other public-facing communications as needed.
- Ensure brand integrity across internal and external platforms by maintaining consistency in tone, messaging, and professional standards reflective of the FCS Financial brand.
- Serve as key support for the annual employee conference by offering insights into strategy and content and assisting in event management.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, English, business administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in corporate communications, internal communications, employee engagement, or marketing.
- Demonstrated experience supporting executive-level communications and managing digital content platforms, including intranets.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
Required Knowledge and Skills

Expert knowledge of internal communication strategies, including executive messaging, employee engagement, and organizational change management

Expert skill in technical writing, copy editing, and content development skills across a range of internal and external channels.

Working knowledge of agriculture industry preferred.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and advanced proficiency in PowerPoint for high level presentation design.

Ability to travel by auto or commercial transportation (up to 25%) to carry out essential responsibilities of the job. Certain times of the year will have higher amounts of travel.

Working knowledge of SharePoint or similar Intranet content management systems.

Working knowledge of Salesforce/nCino/Journey+.
