Assistant School Service Director for Procurement
Department of Elementary and Secondary Education-Missouri Schools for the Severely Disabled
Salary: $55,680
Please note: The salary range listed in this job description is a base salary. Applicants eligible for years of service adjustments or differential may exceed salary range listed above.
Responsibilities - What you’ll do
What you'll do
- Assist schools with procurement rules, purchasing needs, and options.
- Train school staff on state statutes, regulations, and procedures regarding procurement.
- Verify vendors, process purchase orders, and assist in managing all MSSD contracts through MissouriBUYS and SAM II.
- Coordinate with DESE Accounting and Procurement regarding purchase orders, as well as assist with the business functions for MSSD.
- Provide administrative support for all purchasing and payment activities initiated by MSSD.
- Process all ITSD purchase requests.
Prepare, reconcile, balance and ensure accuracy of financial transactions. Develop ad hoc reports, spreadsheets, and other financial documents.
Qualifications - All you need for success
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from accredited four-year college or university.
Or
- Four years of successful supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years' experience in the procurement field.
- SAM II and/or MissouriBUYS experience.
(Other qualifications and experience which, in the opinion of the Commissioner of Education, meet the requirements of the position may be accepted in lieu of the above.)
