Full Job Description

Our multi-million dollar Millwork & Construction Company located in Dacula, GA is seeking to hire an Experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team and continue to build upon the company’s history of successful projects.

The Estimator must have field experience in commercial remodeling and tenant improvements. Construction food service and medical remodeling are a plus. The Estimator must understand real world job-site conditions, the challenges of unseen circumstances with remodeling, constructability challenges and construction timelines. As a 100% employee owned company, this is an ideal position for someone looking for growth and long term stability.

Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for commercial remodeling, tenant fit outs, and ground up projects.
Communicate with clients, architects, vendors and subcontractors
Perform estimates using drawings, specifications, site walks, and firsthand field knowledge
Evaluate constructability, access limitations, phasing, shutdowns, and occupied-space constraints
Develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing based on field-proven production rates
Conduct job site visits to assess existing conditions and validate labor and scope assumptions
Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, service managers, and technicians to confirm constructability
Solicit, review, and analyze vendor and subcontractor quotes
Support project handoff by clearly communicating assumptions, exclusions, and field constraints
Maintain estimating files, documentation, and historical cost data
Participate in post-job reviews and job cost feedback

Required Skills:

High school diploma or GED
3–5 years of estimating or PM experience in commercial remodeling and/or tenant fit outs.
Strong understanding of the remodeling process with possible phasing and minimizing facility shutdown during the remodeling/ construction process.
Ability to translate site conditions into realistic labor and cost assumptions
Proficiency with spreadsheet-based estimating tools
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Strongly Preferred:

Food Service remodeling experience is preferred but not required

Technical Skills:

Must be able to read construction drawings, specifications, and as-builts
MS Office (Excel required)
Bluebeam, Planswift, or similar takeoff tools
Procore or similar construction management software
