Full Job Description

Midtown Dermatology has an opening for a front office team member. We are looking for a candidate who has the skill set to succeed in a busy practice.

If you have the qualities we are looking for (energetic, passion for your job, efficiency, great communication skills, pleasant attitude, and strong work ethic) we are looking for you.

Duties:

- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival at the medical office or clinic.
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate department.
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments.
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers or specialists.
- Ensure a clean and organized reception area.

Skills:

- Administrative skills: Proficient in performing general administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and maintaining records.
- Medical office experience preferred.
- Office management skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize work, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Medical office knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and insurance billing processes is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff members effectively.
