Position Overview
This position maintains the safety and security of the campus environment, by patrolling, monitoring access points, responding to emergencies, and enforcing campus policies. They are responsible for protecting students, faculty, staff, and visitors, and may also assist with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
Essential Job Functions
· Ensure the safety and well-being of all students, faculty, staff, and visitors on campus through regular foot and vehicle patrols, video monitoring, and community engagement.
· Enforce school policies and procedures.
· Uphold the values of Cascia Hall and acting with respect and compassion towards all members of the community.
· Create a secure and welcoming environment for learning and growth. Commit to fulfilling duties with professionalism, integrity, and to serving the mission of Cascia Hall.
· Investigate violations of campus policy or criminal activity.
· Continually review and improve the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) and community readiness for fire, tornado, earthquake, and intruder incidents.
· Provide Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) training and education to students, faculty, and staff through regular drills, presentations, and daily interactions.
· Assign parking, issue parking permits, and enforce parking rules.
· Control access to the school and campus through physical and electronic locks.
· Continually review and improve campus physical security and assess needs for technology updates.
· Maintain a general calendar of campus events and ensure adequate security coverage and building access is available for all approved events. Including but not limited to, after school activities, sporting events, and summer camps.
· Collaborate with law enforcement, Tulsa Fire Department, EMSA, OSSI, State Department of Education, Temple Israel, Marquette School, and other local communities to continuously update, review, and enhance readiness.
· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty and motivate
faculty to assist with all discipline and attendance issues.
· Maintain confidentiality of student records, budgets, financial aid, awards, safety & security matters, disciplinary issues, and medical conditions.
Physical Demands
· Be able to lift or drag a minimum of 100 pounds.
· Environment: Reactive emergency, natural or man-made disaster, and routine peace-keeping environments; regular exposure to outside weather; occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, extreme temperatures, electrical shock risk, radiation risk, and vibration; potentially hostile environments; extensive public contact; moderate to very loud noise levels. Requires working various shifts (evenings, holidays, weekends) and potential travel for meetings.
· Physical: Sufficient physical ability for Campus Security and office settings; ability to restrain or subdue individuals; prolonged periods of walking, standing, sitting, or running; occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting; occasional climbing and balancing; regularly pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying light to moderate weights; frequently lifting and/or moving moderate to heavy weights; occasionally lifting and/or moving heavy weights; operating office equipment (computer keyboard); sense of touch, finger dexterity, and gripping; ability to speak and hear to exchange information; ability to operate a vehicle; ability to operate specialized tools and equipment (firearms, OC, batons, Taser, handcuffs).
· Vision: Normal visual range with or without correction.
· Hearing: Normal audio range with or without correction.

· Knowledge of the Augustinian Philosophy of Education and an openness to support and
enhance the Catholic identity and mission of the school
· Know and abide by Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training rules and regulations. And obey all statutes and ordinances of the State of Oklahoma and the City of Tulsa.
· Able to communicate clear, honest, and accurate information in written incident reports, witness statements, testimonies in legal proceedings, and communications with the Director of Security.
· Able to perform clerical and administrative tasks as needed.
· Know the geography of the campus and surrounding areas.
· Be able to respond appropriately to emergency situations involving loud noises, bodily fluids, high-stress incidents, and aggressive or potentially violent persons.
· Obey all lawful orders from the Campus Safety & Security Director or their designee.
· Able to respond to all security incidents, threats, or unauthorized persons on campus.
· Able to respond to all medical emergencies and administer aid as needed.
· Communicate quickly and efficiently with Police, Fire, EMS, in the event of an emergency.
· Able to respond to on-campus traffic accidents.
· Knowledge of all policies and procedures of Cascia Hall
· Able to communicate expectations to students, parents, faculty, staff effectively
· Able to listen, understand, and respect the uniqueness of each student and situation
while balancing the common good in the Augustinian tradition
· Be approachable yet firm, to be fair, yet consistent.
· Able to carry and know how to use an issued Campus Security radio.
· Monitor hazardous weather conditions.
· Exercise sound judgment and effective decision-making skills.
· Demonstrate good conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
· Follow the chain of command.
· Participate in all scheduled training.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
· Maintain an armed Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) certification.
· Maintain certification and proficiency with firearms, OC spray, CEW (Taser), baton, handcuffing, and suspect control techniques.
· Maintain a valid Driver's License.
Educational and Experience Requirements
· Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university
· Five (5) years’ experience working with students in a school setting
· Any equivalent combination of education and experience
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
