Full Job Description

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Diagnostic Radiologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. Metropolitan Hospital is a full-service community hospital that provides state-of-the-art care and leading-edge technology in a modern environment. We provide culturally sensitive care to patients from all five New York City boroughs in a welcoming and hospitable setting and utilizing the latest advances in medical science. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with New York Medical College to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details:

Obtain patient histories and relevant clinical information from records and referring physicians.
Perform and interpret general diagnostic imaging studies.
Administer contrast agents and radiopaque substances (by injection, orally, or enemas) to render internal structures visible on x-ray films and fluoroscopic screens, recognizing and treating procedure-related complications.
Treat malignant internal and external growths using radiographs, high-energy sources, and natural or synthetic radioisotopes.
Communicate results and counsel patients on procedures, risks, benefits, and alternatives.
Confer with medical professionals regarding image-based diagnoses and coordinate radiology services with other medical activities.
Maintain quality control of images and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Serve as a teleradiologist when needed.
Potential for hybrid schedule.

Board Eligible or Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology
Active New York State medical license

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $468,750* (board eligible); $494,500* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $674,750** (board eligible) and $700,500** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $130,000.
Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
- Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
- After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you.
- Additional employee-paid Voluntary Life and AD&D coverage is available for you and your family.
Loan Forgiveness: Position may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state or federal programs.
Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee.
Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).
Pre-tax employee-paid contributions for commuting expenses.
Visa sponsorship will be considered for this position.
