Full Job Description

Legacy Financial Group's Tax and Accounting division is growing, and we're looking for a CPA to join our team in Des Moines. You'll report directly to our Tax Director and work alongside our tax and accounting staff to deliver high-quality tax preparation, planning, and accounting services to a diverse client base — including individuals, businesses, and non-profits.

Essential Responsibilities

Prepare and review individual, business, and entity tax returns.
Support tax planning strategies for clients under the direction of the Tax Director.
Assist with IRS and state agency correspondence and audits as needed.
Perform accounting services including financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and bookkeeping support.
Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Collaborate with the broader tax and accounting team, as well as LFG's advisory staff, to provide coordinated service to shared clients.
Stay current on tax law changes and identify planning opportunities for clients.
Special projects as they arise.

Qualifications

Active CPA license (Iowa) or actively pursuing licensure.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master's degree a plus.
Experience in public accounting preferred, but newly licensed or CPA-eligible candidates are encouraged to apply.
Strong knowledge of individual and business tax preparation.
Excellent communication skills and a client-first approach.
Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office; experience with Redtail CRM a plus.
