Accounts Payable Specialist | $22-25/ hr | Onsite | 1-2 month Contract | Des Moines, IA

If you’re detail-oriented, organized, and enjoy keeping financial operations running smoothly, this Accounts Payable Specialist opportunity offers the chance to join a stable and established organization. You’ll play an important, short term role in the accounting department by processing invoices, maintaining accurate vendor records, resolving discrepancies, and partnering with teams across the business.

What You’ll Do:

Process and verify expense and inventory invoices for accuracy and completeness
Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies
Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records
Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve invoice and payment issues
Support improvements to accounts payable processes while ensuring compliance with company policies

Qualifications:

Previous accounts payable, accounting clerk, or related finance experience OR a 2-year Accounting degree
Basic understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to manage deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
