Overview

Don Brown Bus Sales is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to build, lead, and develop a high-performing outside sales team. This individual will establish clear sales expectations, coach representatives in the field, strengthen accountability, and help grow the business across our sales territories.

This is a hands-on leadership position. The Regional Sales Manager will spend most days working remotely or traveling alongside sales representatives—helping them develop their territories, build customer relationships, pursue opportunities, and improve their sales skills. Weekly travel is required, with office days based at our Johnstown, New York location.

Key Responsibilities

Recruit, build, and develop an effective regional sales team.
Establish sales goals, activity expectations, and accountability measures.
Travel weekly to coach and train sales representatives in their territories.
Conduct field visits, customer meetings, and sales ride-alongs.
Help representatives develop territory and account-growth plans.
Monitor sales pipelines, quotations, follow-up activity, and results.
Identify new markets, customers, and revenue opportunities.
Collaborate with inside sales, marketing, operations, and company leadership.
Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular performance updates.
Create a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer service.

Ideal Qualifications

Proven experience managing and developing an outside sales team.
Demonstrated ability to build sales processes and achieve revenue and profitability goals.
Strong coaching, leadership, and accountability skills.
Experience with territory management, pipeline development, and CRM systems.
Ability to work independently while remaining closely connected to the team.
Willingness and ability to travel weekly.
Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building abilities.
Experience in automotive, commercial vehicles, transportation, heavy equipment, or dealership sales is preferred but not required.

This position is an excellent fit for someone who enjoys building teams, developing people, creating structure, and directly contributing to business growth. This is not a desk-only management role—the successful candidate must be comfortable coaching in the field and leading by example.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
