Unit Secretary- FT

Who we are:

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, a Duke LifePoint hospital, is the flagship hospital of Conemaugh Health System. A regional referral hospital known for clinical excellence, Conemaugh Memorial is home to the highest level of care designations for Neonatal Care (Level 3) and Trauma Care (Level 1). Conemaugh Memorial has received recognition by the American Heart Association with the Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. Conemaugh Memorial is proudly committed to being a teaching hospital including seven medical residency programs, School of Nursing, and Allied Health education programs.

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center has 537 inpatient, behavioral health, rehabilitation, and transitional care beds.

How you'll contribute

The incumbent shall be responsible for providing clerical support and carrying out activities as directed by the Program Director and/or Office Manager in a professional and ethical manner. The incumbent shall also demonstrate accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, and problem solving. The incumbent shall be accountable for carrying out all responsibilities in accordance with Kindred CORE values. Location may include Short Term Acute Care or Outpatient therapy services.

This secretarial role would include acting as a chaperone for pelvic floor therapy program as well as obtaining insurance authorizations for this busy outpatient clinic as well as 2 other outpatient clinics.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.

Communicate and demonstrate a professional image/attitude for patients, families, clients, coworkers and others
Adhere to policies and practices of client hospital and Kindred Healthcare.
Contribute to client relations and marketing activities.
Manage patient referral process
Provide general clerical support for the program
Performs record keeping and data entry for the outcome system.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Participate in team meetings.
Contribute to development of improved efficiency and productivity of program administrative functions.
Functions as a resource for and provide team members with orientation regarding front office procedures.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Education: The incumbent shall, at a minimum, possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: Secretarial experience.
Skills: The ability to communicate effectively and efficiently, strong interpersonal and organizational skills are necessary. Computer and current technology competence.

Noise level in the work environment is typical for an office and/or hospital environment.
