Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Transportation Safety Supervisor to join our team in Windber, PA. In this role, you will oversee daily safety operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide hands-on coaching and support to our drivers and internal staff. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of transportation regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance: Oversee the operations’ safety, security, and wellness programs to ensure total compliance with OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA regulations.
Incident Management: Investigate accidents, injuries, and cargo claims; prepare reports, organize review committees, and manage unemployment and insurance inquiries.
Driver Training & Coaching: Develop onboarding and classroom training materials; provide post-accident counseling, field performance road checks, and direct coaching to drivers.
Supervisory Duties: Screen candidates through the hiring process, enforce disciplinary actions, handle employee complaints, and lead safety meetings.
Systems & Reporting: Maintain Transportation Management Systems (TMS) for HOS compliance and provide safety trend analysis and KPI reporting to leadership.

Requirements & Qualifications

Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and report writing; ability to interpret complex safety data.
Excellent presentation and communication skills for interacting with all levels of the organization.
Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA regulations (preferred).
Valid CDL or willingness to obtain one via company-provided instruction.
Ability to commute to Windber, PA daily; occasional travel required for safety events.
