DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
- The Registered Nurse, as an integral member of the patient care team, functions as the coordinator of patient care for childbearing patients/families within the single room maternity care philosophy. Supervises, directs and delegates to other patient care team members. Has accountability for gynecological surgical and childbearing patient/family care, outcomes, and customer satisfaction. Serves as a clinical expert, role model, resource, supervisor and care integrator for the surgical and childbearing patient and her family.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional/Educational
  - Current Illinois license with biennial renewal.
  - Minimum of one year of LDRP or LDR experience preferred.
  - Basic electronic fetal heart monitoring class preferred.
  - Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
  - Certified in infant resuscitation (NRP) within 30 days of hire.
  - DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
- Personal
  - Maintains good physical and emotional well being.
  - Possesses the ability to handle emergency situations.
  - Demonstrates leadership and teaching ability.
  - Works effectively with others.

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
