Materials Coordinator / Shop Supervisor
Position Overview
Williams Mechanical Services is seeking a dependable and organized Materials Coordinator / Shop Supervisor to join our growing team. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day flow of materials, tools, and supplies to keep our field crews operating efficiently. Responsibilities include ordering materials, receiving and distributing inventory, coordinating tool check-in/check-out, and maintaining an organized, well-stocked shop.

Key Responsibilities
- Order materials, equipment, and shop supplies as needed
- Receive, inspect, and intake incoming materials and deliveries
- Organize inventory and maintain an orderly, well-stocked shop
- Coordinate the check-in and check-out of company tools and equipment
- Track inventory levels and replenish stock before shortages occur
- Distribute materials and supplies to the appropriate technicians and job sites
- Maintain accurate inventory and purchasing records
- Coordinate with project managers and field personnel to ensure materials are available when needed
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and operating efficiently
- Assist with other warehouse and operational support duties as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in inventory, warehouse, purchasing, logistics, or shop management
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and experience tracking inventory
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or construction industry
- Experience with purchasing and vendor relationships
- Familiarity with inventory management systems
- Forklift experience (preferred but not required)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
