We are seeking an experienced Custom Cabinet Maker who takes pride in precise, high-quality work and enjoys turning detailed drawings into finished products.
Position Summary
The Custom Cabinet Maker will fabricate and assemble custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, and specialty wood products according to shop drawings and project specifications. This is a hands-on shop position requiring strong woodworking fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently without sacrificing quality.
The right candidate can read shop drawings, accurately lay out components, operate woodworking machinery, and identify quality issues before products move to the next stage of production.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret shop drawings, architectural plans, specifications, and cut lists.
- Fabricate and assemble custom cabinets, casework, millwork, fixtures, and related wood products.
- Measure, cut, machine, shape, and fit components with a high degree of accuracy.
- Operate woodworking equipment such as table saws, panel saws, routers, jointers, planers, sanders, and other shop machinery.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Work with hardwoods, veneers, plywood, MDF, laminates, and other architectural materials.
- Install hardware, doors, drawers, trim, and specialty components.
- Check dimensions, fit, alignment, and overall quality throughout the fabrication process.
- Troubleshoot fabrication or assembly issues and communicate discrepancies in drawings or materials.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, finishing, and installation teams to keep projects moving.
- Maintain an organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
- Assist with field installation or other production needs when required.
Qualifications
- Previous professional experience in cabinetmaking, architectural millwork, furniture manufacturing, or finish carpentry.
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings, blueprints, measurements, and project specifications.
- Experience operating standard woodworking machinery and power tools.
- Strong knowledge of cabinet construction and assembly methods.
- Ability to produce accurate, consistent work while meeting production schedules.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
- Ability to identify problems and work independently toward practical solutions.
- Dependable attendance and willingness to work as part of a production team.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials commonly used in cabinet and millwork production.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
