Essential Job Functions:

Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas (including but not limited to hairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard toe and slip/oil resistant shoes, appropriate safety gloves, and seatbelts while operating forklifts)
Responsible to adhere to food quality and food safety as per the standard(s) provided by company, customer, and/or governing bodies (FDA, SQF, etc).
Prepare production equipment for cleaning and follow necessary lock out/tag out procedures when doing so.
Use equipment cleaning chemicals and follow chemical usage and safety as indicated by the labels for application.
Sanitize, foam, scrub and rinse production equipment ensuring that all areas meet Food Safety and Food Quality standards including but not limited to:
CIP and sanitize, foam, scrub, and rinse production equipment such as containers rinsers, warmers, and pasteurizers.
Clean and sanitize all conveyors, conveying equipment, drip pans, and rails.
Clean and sanitize floors and drains.
Clean ceilings and walls in production areas to include cobwebbing, flaking paint, and any other debris removal.

Maintain elevators, floors, and stairwells in a clean and safe condition.

Clean and sanitize auxiliary areas such as the Reverse Osmosis area.
Clean facility building, grounds, and parking lots as assigned.

Verifies and validates sanitation effectiveness with visual inspection and chemical concentration testing.
Confirm proper sanitation by monitoring printouts of CIP systems or manual documentation.
Store all chemicals and safety equipment properly.
Ensure that minimum downtime is experienced during sanitation and pre-operational inspections.
Maintain accurate sanitation documentation and ensure the proper completion of Master Sanitation Schedule daily.
