Position Title: Level III Installer – Nationwide Travel

Pay Range: $27.00–$29.00 per hour

Per Diem:
Contractors traveling 86 miles or more from their residence are eligible for a $160 daily per diem. This allowance is intended to cover both lodging and meals. Contractors are responsible for booking and paying for their own hotel accommodations using these funds.
Job Description
Broadstaff is seeking experienced Level III Installers to support nationwide telecommunications projects involving Central Offices (CO), Data Centers, and MTSO environments. This role is ideal for experienced telecom professionals with strong installation, fiber, and DC power experience who are comfortable traveling extensively and working flexible schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, mount, and align Central Office (CO) and Data Center equipment.
- Install, terminate, and test copper, fiber optic, and coaxial cabling.
- Mount and label telecom equipment, relay racks, terminal blocks, and interconnect panels.
- Perform basic DC power work, including fuse panels, power feeders, power leads, and work within BDFBs.
- Read and interpret installation drawings, wiring diagrams, floor plans, and job specifications.
- Perform cable verification, cable mining, and cable removal activities.
- Conduct installation testing, including power verification, continuity testing, Cat5/6 testing, fiber loss testing, and system testing.
- Lead and mentor Level I and Level II installers.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and Engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Maintain high-quality workmanship while adhering to customer installation standards.
- Travel nationwide and work various shifts, including nights, overtime, and weekends as required.
Key Qualifications
- 7–10 years of Central Office, Data Center, or MTSO installation experience.
- 4–6 years of experience as a Level II Installer or equivalent.
- Strong experience with network element installation and fiber installation.
- Solid understanding of DC theory and secondary DC power installation practices.
- Experience with hydraulic crimping techniques and working inside BDFBs.
- Knowledge of telecom installation practices and basic electrical theory.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring documentation.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and telecom test equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and basic computer applications.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Work Requirements
- Willingness to travel up to 100% nationwide.
- Ability to work days, nights, weekends, overtime, and flexible schedules.
- Ability to climb ladders, work under raised floors, drill/cut metal, lift up to 75 lbs., and work in confined spaces.
