NextGen Heavy Haulers specializes in oversized and overweight commodity transportation across the entire United States. Safety is our top priority, especially when handling loads up to 200,000 lbs. Our drivers are highly skilled in self-loading most running equipment and securing awkward loads for safe transport. The owner is actively involved in all aspects of the business, including dispatching, driving, and truck and trailer maintenance. We also place a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction by ensuring high-quality service and timely deliveries.
Role Description
This is a full-time position for an over the road Heavy Haul Driver operating across all 48 contiguous states of the U.S. and occasionally into Canada. The driver will be responsible for the safe transportation of oversized and overweight commodities along designated routes, including interstate hauls. This position requires being on the road 2-3 weeks at a time, with 2-3 days at home. This is a 1099 position. We are offering up to $9,000 per week salary, based on experience. and will be discussed upon offer of employment. We will be offering a sign-on bonus after 60 days!
We are looking for individuals with 2 years of leadership experience who are ready to lead their team to success.
Key responsibilities include
- Independently loading and unloading self-propelled equipment when required
- Securing oversized and irregular loads in compliance with safety standards
- Adhering to all transportation regulations and hauling requirements
- Communicating with dispatch and customers to ensure timely deliveries
- Conducting mandatory pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with experience in operating heavy-duty trucks
- Double Triple endorsement
- Prior experience in heavy haul or oversized load transportation is required
- Experience with RGN and RGN Extendable trailers is required
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to operate and manage truck and trailer independently
- Ability to react quickly to changing conditions
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Strong focus on safety and compliance with transportation laws
- Willingness to travel nationwide and into Canada
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Candidates must be technologically proficient (ie. able to use smartphone and ipad)
