Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Process Development Sr. Scientist to support process development, characterization, validation, and manufacturing readiness activities within a highly regulated pharmaceutical/biotechnology environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting technical investigations, process improvements, validation activities, and data-driven decision-making to enable robust and compliant manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Support process characterization studies, process validation activities, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Analyze manufacturing data, identify process trends, and provide scientifically sound recommendations.
Develop and execute validation protocols, characterization studies, technical reports, investigations, and change controls.
Support technology transfer activities and manufacturing process implementation.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Regulatory, and Technical Services teams.
Apply statistical analysis and data-driven approaches to optimize process performance.
Provide technical support for commercial manufacturing readiness and process improvements.

Required Qualifications:

Doctorate (PhD, PharmD, or MD) with relevant experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant scientific experience; or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant scientific experience.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Biology, Microbiology, or related scientific discipline preferred.
Experience in FDA/GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing environments.
Experience with process validation (PPQ), process characterization, technical documentation, and manufacturing support.
Strong knowledge of GMP requirements, aseptic processing principles, contamination control strategies, and pharmaceutical quality systems.
Experience with statistical analysis tools such as JMP or Minitab.
Strong technical writing, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Sterile drug product manufacturing support.
Aseptic filling operations and filling equipment experience.
Single-use technologies and sterile manufacturing operations.
Experience authoring validation protocols, technical reports, investigations, and change controls.
