About the Role
Noteworthy Assistance is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Bookkeeping & Client Support Specialist to join our growing team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, creating order, and figuring things out. You do not need to come to us as an experienced bookkeeper. We are willing to train the right person.
What matters most to us is how you work.
We're looking for someone who takes initiative, pays attention to the details, learns quickly, and doesn't need to be told every next step. When something doesn't add up, your instinct should be to investigate—not ignore it.
You'll begin by supporting our team with expense and receipt management and will have the opportunity to learn reconciliations, bookkeeping processes, and additional areas of client account management as you grow.
What You'll Do
Your initial responsibilities will include:
- Entering and matching receipts and expenses
- Organizing and maintaining financial documentation
- Tracking down missing receipts, expenses, and supporting information
- Reviewing information for accuracy and completeness
- Following established client processes and procedures
- Identifying discrepancies and investigating issues
- Keeping assigned recurring tasks current and organized
- Communicating questions and unresolved issues clearly to the team
- Learning our bookkeeping systems and processes
As you develop in the role, you'll have opportunities to learn and take responsibility for:
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Transaction categorization and review
- Recurring bookkeeping workflows
- Preparing accounts for review
- Managing increasingly independent client responsibilities
Who We're Looking For
You may be a great fit if you are:
A self-starter. You don't need someone checking in constantly to make sure work is moving forward.
Highly organized. You can keep track of details, deadlines, documents, and multiple priorities without letting things fall through the cracks.
A problem solver. When something doesn't make sense, you investigate. You use the resources available to you and come prepared with what you've already tried when you need help.
Detail-oriented. You notice when numbers don't match, information is missing, or something simply doesn't look right.
Teachable. You take feedback well, retain what you've learned, and are excited to develop new skills.
Dependable. Our clients trust us with important information and deadlines. We need someone our team can count on.
Comfortable with technology. You don't have to know every system we use on Day 1, but you should be confident learning new software and online tools.
Experience
Previous experience with bookkeeping, accounting, administrative work, banking, accounts payable/receivable, financial data entry, or similar work is a plus—but not required.
We're more interested in finding someone with the right aptitude and work style who is excited to learn.
Schedule & Location
This is a part-time position averaging approximately 15–20 hours per week.
The position may be fully remote, and hybrid opportunities may be available depending on location and fit.
Because you'll be working with a collaborative team and client accounts, consistent communication and dependable availability during agreed-upon working hours are important.
Compensation
Starting pay: $17/hour
This role is designed to grow. As you demonstrate proficiency, take ownership of additional responsibilities, and develop your bookkeeping skills, there will be opportunities to expand your role and have your compensation reviewed accordingly.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first few months, we want you to become someone the team can confidently hand a task or client process to and know that you will:
- Keep it organized
- Follow it through to completion
- Catch details others might miss
- Ask thoughtful questions when necessary
- Investigate before escalating
- Communicate when something needs attention
- Continue learning so you can take on more responsibility over time
We're not looking for someone who simply checks boxes.
We're looking for someone who wants to learn, take ownership, solve problems, and grow with our team.
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Benefits:
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Junction City, KS 66441
